SVM is a pattern/data classifier. This is a better approach than Neural Network based classifier and It’s optimization is a frontier research area in recent time. Those who would like to have a clear visualization on underlying mathematics of support vector machine, can collect a document written & compiled by me. It might be a solace to your pain on SVM.
